Salaries and types of compensation structures vary depending on experience and responsibilities. Professional Traders may also be eligible for bonuses that can double total compensation. Fixed income and foreign exchange traders' compensation is heavily based on bonuses tied to trading profits.

Career Progression
Most Professional Traders who trade through an exchange begin their careers with investment dealers, gaining experience in positions as Order Trader or Approved Traders. The BCSM certification will help you in getting registered.

Registered Traders must have at least two years’ experience as an Approved or Order Trader, or have suitable experience as determined by the exchange.

Investment Analysts are employed throughout the financial services industry by investment management firms, insurance companies, investment fund companies, investment dealers and banks. This job is often a training ground for aspiring portfolio managers and requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Compensation
Investment Analysts are, in most cases, paid a fixed salary plus a bonus based on individual and firm performance.

Research Analyst

A Research Analyst is usually responsible for studying a single industry sector and the companies within that sector that are of potential interest to a firm's institutional and retail clients.

Research Analysts are paid a fixed salary, plus a substantial bonus, depending on performance of the individual and firm.

Career Progression
Most research analysts start as Research Associates before working up to the more senior post. Completion of GFMP 3rd and 4th semester will be considered a definite asset.

A Risk Manager's job varies with the nature and scale of responsibilities

Every organization with assets at stake needs expertise to help reduce financial risks. Career options are varied and rewarding, and GFMP program offers a clear prospect to develop the skills and proficiency you need.

Compensation
The salary range for risk managers varies depending on the position and years of experience. By the time you reach senior risk manager level, the salary would almost triple.

Career Progression
You need a strong mathematics background to become a Risk Manager, preferably supported by a related university degree. There are a number of additional routes to obtain training in risk assessment, derivative markets and products. One route is through completing the GFMP program, which will be followed by Industry Practice.

Portfolio Managers are employed throughout the financial services industry by banks, investment dealers, investment fund companies, investment management firms and insurance companies. This individual is responsible for managing the portfolio of an investor or institution, such as a mutual fund or pension fund. Some specialize in equities, others in bonds, while some handle both.

Compensation
Portfolio Managers are paid a fixed salary but may also earn substantial bonuses based on the performance of the assets under their management.

Career Progression
Portfolio Managers typically start out as Investment Analysts. A prospective Portfolio Manager must also have extensive industry experience as an Associate Portfolio Manager, Investment Advisor or Research Analyst, with experience in managing a portfolio of $5 million or more on a discretionary basis.

The Relationship Officer is responsible for providing banking services to existing clients. He is also responsible to Generating Revenues from existing customers. Additionally he will be responsible to generate leads for customers. The Growth for a relationship officer leads to a personal banker.

Career Progression
It will be beneficial for a relationship officers to be averse with various financial products offered by bank which is covered into the 1st Semester of GFMP. It is mandatory for the relationship officer’s to know about credit creation and deposit creation which is covered at a length throughout GFMP course.

A personal banker provides banking services to high net worth individuals. It provides personal banking services to priority customers and generating revenue from existing customers. A Personal banker will get promoted to Relationship Manager and then to Wealth Manager.

The Relationship officer are in most cases paid a fixed salary plus variable salary based on individual and firm performance.

Career Progression
It will be beneficial for a Personal Banker to be averse with various financial products offered by bank which is covered into the 1st Semester of GFMP. It is mandatory for the Personal Banker to know about credit creation and deposit creation which is covered at a length throughout GFMP course.

A Bank Operations Officer is responsible for providing banking services at the Branch front desk. The Bank Operations Officer plays the customer facing role at the branch. He is responsible for a particular service (e.g. Providing Credit cards, cheque Booklet’s). The growth of a Branch Operations Officer will be into Assistant Manager.

The Relationship officer are in most cases paid a fixed salary plus variable salary based on individual and firm performance.

Career Progression
It will be beneficial for a Personal Banker to be averse with various financial products offered by bank which is covered in GFMP. It is mandatory for the Bank operation officer to know about credit creation and deposit creation which is covered at a length throughout GFMP course

A Branch level Assistant Manager is an advanced position to Bank Operating Officer. An Assistant Manager is responsible for providing banking services at the Branch but with a higher authority. The Career Growth for an assistant manager would Deputy Manager and then the manager.
